Poster presented at 3rd International Clinical Trials Methodology Conference held at the Glasgow Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) on 16 and 17 November 2015
Congratulations to Dr Jo Thorn of the ConDuCT-II Hub, University of Bristol for presenting her research poster on identification of items for a standardised resource use measure at the 3rd International Clinical Trials Methodology Conference held at the Glasgow Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) on 16 and 17 November 2015.
The poster highlighted the latest work on the development of the standardised resource use measure based on components derived from DIRUM instruments. See recent news item here.
So far review has confirmed resource-use measurement by patient recall in economic evaluations alongside clinical trials is currently characterised by inconsistency and an instrument with wide applicability and demonstrable validity is urgently required.
This work was supported by the MRC Network of Hubs for Trials Methodology Research (MR/L004933/1-N57) and the MRC ConDuCT-II Hub for Trials Methodology Research (MR/K025643/1) (http://www.bristol.ac.uk/social-communitymedicine/centres/conduct2/)
